That is a steal, not just a good deal;-)) I have a MC 9500 and love it. But I paid 3 x that for mine 4 years ago.

I think you are ready to go. How wonderful for you! Janomes are great machines. I've had mine for 7 years now, and have never had to take it for service. I've used maybe one drop of oil some time after 4 years in the bobbin well. Just brush out the lint between quilts and you're good to go. Congratulations on your fabulous find.

The very first thing I do is read the manual. "unlike some people, who live by the theory, if all else fails read the instructions" Thats another story, LOL. Anyway you can't go wrong if you study your manual.
