I guess I'm the wild one here. I love modern brights like Tula Pink, Moda, Free Spirit, Amy Butler, Robert Kaufman, Kaffe Fasset, Jinny Meyer, Alexander Henry. I can always find W on W, creams, etc. on sale, but have to pay dearly for the fabrics I love.

I'm keeping my eye out for Civil War reproductions, especially poison green, cheddar, double pinks, and light colored shirtings.

I'm always searching for tone-on-tone fabrics--especially in white, cream, and tan.

AndiR - that is SO true! Get that dessert cart all yummied up and it'll fly out the door- people long for inspiration and suggestions.

And with the exception of the trend of people looking for white/cream/neutrals, I think I was right. My experience is that what sells the best is the line that you make samples from. I can take a piece or line that isn't selling, make a sample with it, and it will usually fly out the door.

Good luck with your new venture!

I little bit of burgundy would be nice. People are still decorating with a dark red and I'm having trouble finding a nice burgundy for table runners. For me - always the orange-reds, corals and aqua.

I like modern fabrics and patterns, especially free spirit, kaffe fasset, Amy Butler, etc. Blenders are nice too.

I want gray. Not taupe. Not charcoal. Gray. Cement block gray. I need 4 yards of it.
Aside from that I would like to see some nice burnished coppers, clear browns, and bronzes.

I am trying to collect some soft greys/ silvers lights not darks. Would love batiks, solids allover pattern. They have been very difficult to find! Some are tan or aqua colors definitely not silver or greys. Just my 2 ¢ worth.
