Default Jelly Roll Quilt Race...found my roll!

So I saw the video of the race where you sew all 42 strips into one LONG strip, fold, sew, cut, fold, cut, sew...etc. I found it interesting so I decided I wanted to try this and make quilts for my DD's teachers at Mother's Day Out. Well I found the jelly roll I wanted, Chrysalis Jelly Roll by Sanae for Moda, but being that jelly rolls are kinda high (~$30/ea with 42 strips), I was waiting until the next paycheck...BUT I found a store in TN that had the jelly roll for their Deal of the Day! I got 2 rolls for $40, shipping and tax included! That is still high but I saved at least $20.

Just excited and hope the store is reliable...I found the store via Moda's store finder.

I get tangled trying to sew two pieces together. I'd never manage a whole jelly roll full in one strip----------I'd be crying or cussing. Just me-----------and being unorganized, I think.

But I love the idea for the quilt.

Well done for getting your bargains. Good luck with the quilt. Bet you enjoy it too.

You got a great deal with the jelly rolls...that comes out to less than $7 yard, and it's cut for you!
