Default grrr ... I forgot I was using

a heat removable marking pen. Yep, sure enough I pressed the pieces and the marks went away. Darn it, now I have to remark some blocks. I marked them using templates so I don't necessarily have an exact 1/4" seam. Oh, well ... at least I know the pens really work LOL

Some have suggested throwing the item in the freezer if it was the Frixion pens. The marks may come back.

Oh dear... what a drag. I wish I had a solution for you, but I always use chalk or pencil to mark fabric... I am the queen of leaving markers uncapped! Good luck to you!

I guess that is better than using a permanent marker thinking it would come out with heat!!!

    Oh, yeah!!!

Gayle, thanks for the tip. I'll have to try the freezer next time - and I know there will be a next time LOL - since I remarked them already.
