Default What do you think...comparing Janome / Kenmore?

Hi...I really like this teacher (Vamessa) a lot..she is great... and while I was checking out her videos I found this one interesting having to do with comparing Janome / Kenmore machines. What do you think? I know a lady at work who would like to get a sewing machine for her young daughter.....seems good. Have you heard of this Kenmore model? Can't tell which model of Janome it is being compared to.

    Thanks.

The Kenmore machine in the video was probably made for Sears by Janome. That partnership was in place for quite a few years. However, Sears no longer sells Kenmore sewing machines, although it does still sell parts for them.

Tuesday Morning sells a lot of closeouts, so most likely this Kenmore machine is one of a batch of closeout machines. If the price is right, it could be a reasonable machine for a beginner.

The Kenmore machine is model 19106. As the video says you can no longer get that model of Janome

I have a Kenmore and a Janome. My Kenmore was made by Janome and the feet are interchangeable. Very helpful as the Kenmore is much smaller and lighter and I can take it to classes easier.
