Default Freeform piecing exercise I'm working on...

I went to a retreat last weekend and used a pile of fabrics that I started pulling about six months ago. This is a color palette I've never worked in, so I'm having a lot of fun exploring possibilities.

Inspiration: Rayna Gillman's Free Form Quilting techniques.

Reallylike the colors. What a relaxing way to piece. What are you going to make with it? The possibilities are endless.

We had a fire in our home last year so I lost 7 quilts that were hanging on the wall. This may go up where one of those was... Not sure, though. Depends on how much I like it when I'm done. LOL!

Well, if you decide it doesn't fit in your house, I can probably find a place for it! Seriously, I really like this style. And your colors are warm and inviting. Looks like a fun technique.

Oh no, so sorry about the fire. Can't even imagine trying to start over. Hope your rebuild goes well.

Wonderful fabrics, they look almost tribal the way you put them together, controlled abandon, so much energy. I love what you have done. You must be seriously dedicated to spend so much time pulling fabrics. Sounds as if you are extremely talented. Thank you.

Sorry, I did read about your fire. Heartfelt, been there, done that when young and dumb and no insurance.

Your quilt will be a beautiful art piece and a great beginning - double congratulations! Thank you.
