    Default Judi Madsen's quilt book

Today I received my pre-ordered copy of the book "Quilting Wide Open Spaces" by Judi Madsen, published by AQS. It's a beautiful book and chock full of great quilting instruction. The included CD has full-sized templates for quilting designs used in the six projects, so they can be printed out without having to scan them first. (I'm not connected in any way with the author, just a very happy book buyer.)

I only have one question: how can someone so young and pretty be such an amazing quilter?!

I noticed it was available. It looks good for filling empty quilt spaces. Now if only my FMQ skills improve enough to do them.

Oh, just great! Another book I'm going to have to have. I really love her work.

Her quilting work posted on this board is simply jaw-dropping, eye-popping. I am not a big fan of 'heavily-quilted' stuff but she does some really creative work and is so sensitive to what she is drawing/stitching on top of.

Great Christmas present for the quilter in the family

I plan to buy the book too. For those who don't know her, Judi is greenfairy on the board, and her blog, full of beautiful quilts, is http://www.greenfairyquiltsblog.com/ She hasn't posted in a long time - probably too busy with her award winning quilting and writing a book.

I meant that she hasn't posted on this board. Sorry I wasn't clear.

She lives near me. She is as beautiful inside as her quilts!

What a bizarre question. Does this mean you believe only older, not-so-attractive people can be amazing quilters?

Of course not. 'Twas asked tongue-in-cheek. Sorry, I thought that would be obvious.
