Default Need to find these parts

I have looked online and locally and no luck so far. I am looking for this style and the same size for one of my Japanese Morse machines. The 4100 to be exact. I found a set on ebay but I am not paying 24.00 plus shipping. Also can someone tell me if this style is standard equipment on any other brand(s) of machines besides Necchis?

I had to play musical plates in order to get a machine ready to rehome and now one of my beautiful Morse' is plate less but it was okay to snitch her plates because she still needs some new electrical wiring which I won't get to for awhile.

I can imagine that musical parts is a common occurrence when in this hobby? I keep doing it...a lot.

First, no way in hell would I scab parts from a machine I'm going to keep to make one sellable. Musical parts may be common for some, but not for me. I believe that it ruins the machines I'm going to keep.

Sew Classic has slide plates, you might check with them.

I took parts off my 15-91 and fixed my 201-2. I thought it was rather handy.
Then ordered replacements.

I wouldn't have either but sometimes you do what you have to. I have a hard time robbing parts. If a machine is that complete I want to make it run too.
Maybe someone here can point you toward other makes and models that work too. That vintage of machine with all the knobs and chrome seems fairly high $ compared to other vintages in my market.

Sorry guys, no hard and fast rules for me. I just don't operate that way. Takes all of the fun out of it for me.

Anastasia I am with you...I know I can eventually get the parts I need. I checked out the 201-2 It's real cute and it has the light on the front of the machine. I wonder if that makes it easier to see? I haven't checked out light placement yet for sewing but I do have some problems with glare at night when sewing on machines with really shiny plates.

And one thing I forgot to say is that although serviceable, the repro parts aren't of the same quality as the originals are rarely does the finish match.

I'd take parts from a lesser machine to fix the greater but not vice versa unless ORIGINAL parts are readily available. I've had little luck with the fit and finish of replacement parts but there better than nothing.

I looked but saw only the large bobbin slide cover listed but not the feed dog cover plate with the three screws in it. I will check again. I did find and purchase my parts needed last night though. The internet is huge and sometimes it just takes a lot of searching.

Thanks Joe. That is a good reminder.
