Default start of a scrapy quilt

this is a start of my 1st scrapy quilt using old phone book for paper fondation

It sure will be interesting when when finished.

Some of the cutest quilts start out this way, and a fabulous way to use up all those scraps we all have in such abundance! I look forward to seeing pics when you're finished!
It looks like you might have a little tension issue on the foundation on the right, the bobbin thread is all loops...

Fred, will you remove the pages at some point in the quilt construction or possibly wash the top and hope they dissolve away? I have family quilts from the 30s and 40s that appear to have muslin foundations left in place. It certainly adds to the weight of the quilts. Joyce in DE

DO NOT GET THEM WET !!! its a pain in the butt to get them off..

use the smallest stitch possible.. it tears easier..

That is a good idea for using an old phone book. Recycling. Can't wait also to see the finished product. Have lots of fun.
