Default My One Block Quilt

This is one of my very favorite blocks, so I suggested to a blogger an idea for a pattern, and she made up the measurements for a pattern. She asked me to test it, and here are the results. The pattern should be for sale by the end of March on Craftsy. This was fun to piece, and very easy. The fabric is Morris Modernized. It measures 68 by 68. I love how it turned out. I quilted it using a panto, renting a long arm machine at a LQS.

It is very pretty! I just used that same block as a center medallion. It will be surrounded by other smaller blocks.

    Thanks,

Great quilt....i have MANY times - when i need a quilt relatively quickly - done a one block. I try to pick one that's sort of complex - but it's a great time saver...and they work out so well...Here are 2 i did last year for my nephew and his bride.

I love your Carpenter's Star, it's next on my list!

How do you come up with the measurements? I would like to be able to do this with other blocks.

Janie, I can't remember the name, something like swirling leaves. I will check the next time I go there. They should have it on my record. I want to use it again, too.

One thing I noticed, is they pulled the tension tighter on the quilt, and it made the quilting puffier. I very much like that effect.
