Looking for a contact in the Lancaster, PA area
I expect to travel to the Lancaster, PA area next week & need to find an Amish (or Mennonite) woman who would be willing to mark a Heart of Roses quilt top for me. Is there anyone on this board who knows of someone who takes in this kind of a job & approximately what the cost would be?
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Belle

I'm not familiar with that pattern, but once there, you will find many places with quilts for sale, so you could probably make arrangements with someone whose quilting you admire. You may get lucky and find someone with a quilt top they haven't completed yet, if it is a pattern they typically make for sale.

I don't know of anyone offhand that does that. My cousin had a few marked for her but that person no longer does it. Maybe if you contact a few of the quilt shops in the area they could recommend someone to you. There is Zooks, the Quilt shack and Log Cabin quilts (all on Old Philadelphia Pike) in Intercourse and Bird in Hand. There's also Dutchland Quilts on Rt 30. there are a few more but I don't know their addresses offhand. Hope this helps. Maybe they can lead you in the right direction at least. Good Luck!
