I am way too thrifty to pay that much for fabric, organic or not.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm happier paying less for better looking fruits and veggies, than organic ones that are smaller and spotty, and I'll bet I'll be just as happy with non-organic quilting fabric for $9/yd than organic cotton for $16.

$16.50 a yard! Good grief. Thank heavens for my stash. Can I say I'm saving $16.50 every time I use a yard. At $16.50 I will not be adding to it that's for sure.

Well, I guess we can now consider our stashes to be much more valuable! Having a stash is like money in the bank if you bought it at $6 to $8. I knew there was a reason for me to have so much on hand!

Over here that would be considered cheap. Most fabrics would be up to $25 per metre.
