Pink, yellow, aqua, green and brown are begging for you to add some purple and orange! Wait, I think this would really work! Pastel shades of all of the colors, with some white or cream or tan background, and some dark brown for
"punch" and to counterpoint all of the pastels..... Solid pastels with a great brown batik!

I oooohhhh and aaaawwww over earth tone quilts but cannot bring myself to make one. I've made fall wall hangings with brown but find that it's not in my palate when I choose colors for larger projects. I'm not a brown hater, just not in my top choices. Right now I'm stepping out and using Bonnie Hunter's color choices in her Celtic Solstice pattern. I'm not a fan of using a lot of green and yellow, but there they are and I'm doing it. My color of choice is BLUE!!! (Which I understand goes beautifully with brown!)

I'm not a big fan of brown but I have used it often in a few of my quilts. Yours are absolutely gorgeous. That 2nd quilt is very eye catching.

I think that brown is restful for the eyes. Love the modern designer brights, but after so much color, brown is a soothing relief.

Not a fan of brown. I find it difficult to work with as I like brights.

At least in older days brown fabric doesn't hold up as well. It disintegrates. Otherwise the color is fine.

Your quilts are beautiful...guess I never met a color I didn't like...it's all in what you mix it with that makes the difference..I don't have a great color sense when it comes to putting them together but I know what I like when someone else does it..
