Default Pfaff Performance 5.0 new home!

Well, I did it .... after months of research and comparing the Quilt Expression 4.2 and Performance 5.0, I took the plunge and purchased the Pfaff Performance 5.0. I just brought her home tonight after spending 3 hours of personal one-on-one instruction. I was a little scared/intimidated at first, but just like the sales gal assured me, it really was easy to learn how to navigate! I go back in a week for more advanced training. It came with unlimited machine usage classes and instruction. I'm in heaven! It's a beautiful machine, with beautiful stitches. I'm finding it hard to go to sleep tonight .... I just wanna keep on sewing!

Any suggestions on what I should name her?

What was the deciding factor between the two machines? (No idea for a name).

Well, the ultimate deciding factor was that the dealer came down in price and offered better financing terms for the P5.0 - and I liked the Maxi Stitches that the QE4.2 did not have. The P5.0 also has a large color display and intuitive touch display, whereas the QE4.2 had more "buttons" that required me to page down or navigate through. I kept getting confused on which direction to touch on the wheel (on the QE4.2) to get to where I needed to be. With th P5.0 I was there with one or two clicks of the stylus (or my finger). I loved the way everything is layed out in folders - much like the way I organized my office files! We just clicked, back when I first played with her. So when the dealer came down another $250 and was willing to give me 48 months interest free financing, I took the plunge!

Congratulations on your new baby........ I wish you many many happy sewing hours with her..... As for a name, how about Philomena (Philly for short). She would be known as Philly Pfaff.

hugs

Caroline

Nice that you got this machine. Sounds like a good one and I love Pfaffs anyway. For a name .... how about Honey because you got a honey of a deal? Although I do like Philly since I am originally from that area of the country. (Philly cheese steaks, crusty bread, and Tastykakes .... doesn't get much better than that!)
