    Default Just Downright Curious

Does anyone know how to check the sew time and/or stitch count on a Janome 12000 and a Janome 8900? My dealer says there isn't a way, but when I was thinking about trading up, he pushed a couple of buttons before coming up with a price. Of course, I was sitting on the other side of the machine and didn't see what he did.

It would be obvious the dealer lied to you if he did pull up the stitch time and count after telling you there was no way. But it would take a deceitful dealer to do that. Remember it is your machine and if anyone is pushing buttons on it, ask what are you looking for and why. Don't stay back and wonder.

I've always wished we had a 'hours on the machine' clock.
I'd be a lot better about changing needles and tune ups

It's not on the Janome website and the dealer said there was no way.

Greetings! On the 15000 the information is on the on screen help -the "?" at the bottom of the main screen. It is very interesting. On my machine I show 119 hours of the machine power on time and 11 hours of total operating time! I do a lot of paper piecing which takes time between the actual sewing.

Often that info is not put in the owner's manual.
