Default My 7th finished LBB (Little Brown Bird) block.... finished

I'm done with my 7th block from the Little Brown Bird quilt by Margaret Docherty. It's actually block #2 in the book but I couldn't do this one until I got back to the winter house where I have most of my stash. Anyway, I altered this one a bit and am anxious to see if you all like it or think it's way too different from my other blocks.

I had some fabric in my stash that was small flowers so I stitched those using the broderie perse method. I stuffed them a little and put french knots in the centers. And, the other change I did was to make a purple orchid in the basket. The pattern shape looked like an orchid to me even though the picture in the book wasn't an orchid. I don't know if I like it or not. It is different.

But, if you want to see my other blocks you can go to my album.... click on my name, click on 'view profile', scroll down to the bottom and you'll see my albums on the left hand side.

My next block is #6 in the book..... a basket made of 3/16" bias strips ..... we'll see how that goes. I keep trying new things on this quilt.... still having fun..... if anyone wants to join me, let me know. I'd love to share ideas with someone else working on this one.

Fabulous! I've been afraid to start that quilt. It seems so difficult.
