looking for Christmas poem
looking for Christmas poem about quilting, was thinking there was one posted here not long ago that was the same as "The Night Before Christmas" but with quilting substituted for some of the words. Need it for the Christmas party at the guild. Thanks, everyone.

My favorite is, and it is not a quilting one - but it is the (I believe) fourth verse of I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Then pealed the bells more loud and sweet
God is not dead nor doth He sleep
The wrong shall fail - the right prevail
With peace on earth good will toward men.

PS - to me that verse is so hopeful.

Here's some that I've come across:
Tis the week before Christmas and all through the house
Not a stitch is sewn on Aunt Edith's blouse....
The stockings are not hung by the chimney with care
They are sitting unsewn on the table - over there.
The jeans are all holey and need mending SOON
As are the overalls that give a view of the moon...
The kids are tucked all snugly in bed
While visions of sewing projects dance in my head.
The quilts intended are still in small pieces
The machine needs cleaned, oiled and some greases....
The duct tape that holds the the plastic in place
Is gummy and sticky and shreds up the lace.
The glue that made the tension repair
Is causing me to throw things and swear.
The needle is jammed and the feet full of lint.
I have dropped them and dropped them so now take the HINT....
Something reliable is what I need
But Walmart is lacking those indeed.
HHHHMMMMM l look on Craig's List but what do I see
But a Smash and Sow on the stump of somebody's tree...
Do I need a bench top dual thread injector to weld it together....
Stop by Santa's Vintage sewing sweat shop no matter the weather....

‘Twas the week before Christmas at my sewing machine shop,
I was so seasonally giddy, that I thought I might pop!
The vintage machines were displayed with great care,
a couple of treadles and an old sewing chair,
all waiting in line, they sure were a site,
freshly oiled and greased, and shined up so bright.
While me at my workbench in the back of the store,
still cleaning and wrenching on a couple of more.
the tools and the parts were all strewn about,
but again these would sew, without any doubt.
The door chime then sounded and immediately I knew,
someone had come in, but I did not know who.
I sprang to my feet, and that’s no small matter,
‘cause over the years, I’ve grown a tad fatter.
I wish I could say, that I moved in a flash,
but it was more like seeing a slow-motion dash.
I started to call out a bright cheerful greeting,
not knowing at this point just who I was meeting.
But as I grew near, I stopped with a pause,
I was looking straight at, Old Santa Clause.
He told me some Wish Lists that he had seen,
included some vintage sewing machines.
He added “They make the most wonderful toys,
for some of the bit older good girls and boys.”
So he loaded his sleigh and left with this call:
“Best Wishes to you, and Merry Christmas to all!”

The poor weary Quilter, was tearing her hair. Stacks of fat quarters, tipped over in streams. Visions of Log Cabins, had turned into dreams. When what to her wondering eyes should appear, But a bus full of quilters with all of their gear. They went straight to work with just a few mutters, Sorting and stitching and brandishing cutters. The patterns emerged from all of the clutter, Like magic the fabrics arranged in a flutter. Log Cabins, Lone Stars, Flying Geese & Bear Tracks Each quilt was a beauty-even the backs. Her house how it twinkled, her quilts how they glowed. The cookies were baking, the stockings were sewed. Their work was all done, so they folded their frames, And packed up their needles, without giving their names. They boarded the bus, and checked the next address. More quilts to be made, another quilter in distress. She heard one voice echo, as they drove out of sight, Happy quilting to all and to all a good night! ~Author Unknown

Here is my favorite. I used it to make cards one year for all my quilting friends. they loved them.
Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be fat quarters or a pattern or lace?
Or a quilt kit, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa," I said
"You know....good little girls should be in their beds ".
"I know I should Santa, and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly, And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear
"You've got enough stuff, I'll see you next year!"
