This looks so interesting... I don't like the hand sewing for sleeves... I'm going to try it very soon

I also saw this link yesterday....bookmarked it immediately! I reallllllly dislike hand sewing the sleeve-by the time I am at that point, I am ready to move on to the next project! If anyone has tried it, please tell us it works!

As soon as I saw Bernina had posted this, I pinned it in Pinterest - I find it easier to find things there than by bookmarking here.

Anyhow - Thanks for sharing. I had to put sleeves on for 2 full-sized quilts that I put in a show last year - couldn't even do the first half under binding by machine as they were already completely done. Ugh. I ended up sewing one on and pinning the other on (which most small shows also accept). This will be so much easier!.

I need to do some sleeves, so this tip was just in time. I like the way they did it. Now, I'm wondering if this would work for binding. I have carpal tunnel in both wrists, and absolutely hate hand work because the wrists hurt too bad.

Wow I never thought of doing that. Thanks for the idea. I hate to hand sew. Any way that I can avoid it helps.

I went to the link, copied and pasted it into a Word document and saved it on my hard drive so that I can print it out for reference at my machine. THANKS!

Thank you so very much for this link. I have purchased sleeve hanging which works very nicely, but this fits the back of the quilt so much more naturally. Just printed it out and it will go in my "How To" notebook.

I was late getting my quilt ready for a quilt show and the morning it was to be delivered for hanging, my hanging sleeve was still to be put on. I was in a total panic and thought if I could just sew it by machine I would make it on time. Instead of the hem stitch I used a zigzag and loosened the tension. It worked and popped out flat. I did not tell and no one ever knew. I made on time and early.
