Default Has anyone tried this?

I saw the new solid fabrics for $2.97 at WalMart, and they don't feel bad on the bolt. Has anyone bought any yet, and if so, have you washed it to use it yet? Wondering about the feel of it after being washed and dried? Would you use it in a quilt?

That's a lot of money to invest in this. Think big and buy a whole yard. Worst that can happen, it turns into the back of some place mats.

I bought some. It's seems to be holding up just fine for the back of a drag around quilt I made for my grand toddler.

I am still skeptical about the price of this fabric. I haven't been to Walmart in over 3 months. But I remember the old saying, you get what you pay for keeps echoing in my head.

Don't knock it till you've tried it. I buy fabrics all the time at Walmart and while there are some very "questionable" fabrics, they do have some very good ones at a reasonable price. I have not purchased the new solids yet, but will definitely try some since you are having good luck with them, although I really need to finish a couple projects first

I bought a bunch of the white for a quilt I'm working on. It washed up nice but the quilts not finished. It really reminds me of Kona. It's a great deal.

For $2.97 I would buy 1 yard, take it home and wash it, iron it, cut and stitch it and see how it feels and works up. Only you know if you like a fabric.
