Red face Need some ideas, please.

. I need to make a baby quilt for a friends grandaughter who is expecting. Everyone was thinking "pink" for a girl, well just found out it is a "boy". I have looked at several ideas for girls quilts, but now I need ideas for a boys quilt. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I need to make one too. I was thinking of doing some sort of trad blocks, like 4 big star blocks made with HSTs or something, and using red, white and blue scrappy fabrics. This is a quilt that can grow with the baby and if there is a surprise change in gender, it won't matter all that much.

M LQS has some adorable fabric that can be cut in squares...it has the cutest animals and would be so easy to put it together. It makes a pretty impressive quilt that any child will love for a long time.

There is nothing so cute as a log cabin quilt in kids colors. Or how about a warm wishes quilt? That one goes really fast and is so nice. Years ago we made them in pale green or yellow when we didn't know what the baby's gender was.

I made these for my grandson who is now 18 months old. The second photo is just the backside of the first quilt. Maybe they will spark some ideas for you.

If you have a cute boys focus fabric, Warm Wishes works up quickly.

I agree, Warm Wishes can make a very cute quilt in little time. Thee are so many boys fabrics with construction trucks, tools and fire engines.
