Default The Mitten by Jan Brett

This panel was originally produced to make a soft book, I chose to me a quilt. The author generously allows one to download the animal faces for story time to use as masks, I will Make baby bibs. However this is a little to thick and I would appreciate any suggestions for more pliable batting.

Yes, what batting did you use?? I think the quilt came out darling. You did a great job making a book panel into a quilt. Some little kid is going to love it.

I love the book!!! Found her site and downloaded the masks. How will you make bibs with them....will you print them on fabric? They are really gorgeous and the panel is wonderful as a quilt!

Natures Touch 100% cotton. Thinking just plain flannel to make it more pliable?

I'm experimenting with Sew - In Colorfast fabric, found it at Jo Anns. I've printed but haven't washed it yet hope it softens, if it doesn't I'll use something really soft, and plush for the back. Only been quilting since July, I have to admit I'm getting pretty addicted. This is for a dear friend of our youngest daughter, known her since kindergarten she is expecting her first in about a month.

How about Warm and Natural or Thermore? They're both thinner--particularly Thermore.

Your quilt is so adorable. I love the idea of wrapping up and reading the blanket that's wrapped around me.
