Default 301 faceplate cover

Anyone able to walk me through how to take off the faceplate on a 301a? I feel like it's easier than I am trying to make it... Maybe it's in the tools I am using.

Open the faceplate and just lift it slightly so one of the hinge pins comes out of its hole in the body. Easy Peasy. Getting it back in can be another story but it's not too hard.
