I'm new to quilting (about a year and a half). I often see references to jelly rolls, charm packs, and layer cakes. Can someone tell me what these are?

Those are a marketer's dream! LOL Really, they are pre-cut pieces of fabric, usually 1 fabric line. Charms are 5", Layer cakes are 10", I think jelly rolls might be 2 1/2" strips by 44"(WOF).
