Hey,

Just wanted to give a shout out to everyone.

I am from northwest Iowa and have been making landscape and picture quilts for a year. I have used patterns before but love to design my own. My husbund is a wildlife artist and this is my artistic expression.

I have made regular quilts. I finished the top of one for my granddaughter, then I moved my sewing area to another room and can't remember which box I put it in. I'm going to have fun rummaging through my huge stash to find it.

I will enjoy the ideas and helps from the forum.

Until we meet again, Laura (loonyquilter)

Hello loonyquilter,

Welcome to the group! Very nice Avatar!!! You do nice work! I missed your post until today somehow. Please do share some of your work. I haven't tried an art quilt or landscape quilt yet but I do want to try one sometime. I would love to be inspired by some more of your work! :D

Welcome! Please share pictures of your artistic quilts. I've always admired these pieces of art. A painting made with fabric, what could be better?!

I'm in agreement with everyone else here. Please post photos of your work!

(Also, how did you get so good in such a short time?) :?

Welcome! I love your avatar. Did you design the quilt? We have loons on the lake and have a loon stained glass window hanging in the picture window. Hope to see more of your creations.
