Hi there, welcome from the UK!

If you do a search for 'baby quilt' on here you will get tons of results, inspiration galore! I like the idea of brown and pink, they go so well together. There are some easy patterns such as 'Warm Wishes' and 'Disapearing Nine Patch' that are popular with us newbies for baby quilts:

easier to do than it looks, here's the one I did too:

Greetings from Sacramento CA. Baby quilts are great to start with. (smaller and great for simpler patterns)

My daughter and her husband lived in Davenport for three years. Ben my sil went to Palmer and my daughter worked three jobs to get them through. Both of the oldest two boys were born in Genesis East.
I learned my way around pretty well. I hated the one way roads tho. I had a hard time remembering which one went which way!

Glad you joined the board and look forward to seeing what you make!

Ottumwa, the home of Radar O'Riley! I drive through on my way to MN sometimes. It has been a while since I went that route! :?

You can also try www.fatcatpatterns.com, they have lots of free patterns and maybe one of them will work. They are all sorted by style. I use lots of their ideas for inspiration.

We always went to Ottumwa to shop on Sats when I was growing up. It was my mom's favorite place to go. My DH was from Sigourney and when we lived in Sigourney when we were first married we went to Oskaloosa and Ottumwa a lot. Don't get there very much anymore.

DH also went to Indian Hills College when we were first married for an automotive course. We just got an alumni thing in the mail the other day.
