Default Best fabric scissors?

Hello,

I am looking for some fabric scissors and am wondering the best ones to get that are not too pricey. Thanks!

your going to get a lot of different answers because eveyone likes theirs the best. I have a pr. of Fiskars I have had for at least 20 yrs and they are still sharp and cut well. Of coarse I threatend my family with their lives if they used them for anything else LOLOL

Thanks! I will probably threaten my family too! Will have to write 'fabric only' on them!

I bought my Ginghers in 80s and 90s. Never have needed them to be sharpen yet.

I couldn't put it any better. That said, I love my Gingher's. I bought them at JAF with a coupon. They come with lifetime free sharpening -- just pay shipping. When I get them back, they've been sharpened, re-tooled & oiled and look pretty much as good as the day I bought them. However, I really like having a weightier scissors. I don't have arthritis in my hands, so a heavier scissor gives me straighter results. I'm sure at some point I will appreciate all the lighter weight options out there, but until then I'm sticking with my Gingher's.

I bought Kai scissors after hearing about them here and love them. They had a starter group of 3 scissors at the Road to CA show so I got the set for under $50.00. Loved them so much 2 years later I bought another set to keep in my traveling sewing kit.
I do still have my original pair of scissors which was given to me as a wedding present 43 years ago - those are Wiss scissors and they have been sharpened once in all that time and still going strong.

My daughter found a thing on Facebook she swore I wrote, it was a picture of a young child yelling with the caption, "Don't touch the fabric scissors!" My family is used to my threats of bodily harm if they use the scissors or rotary cutters for anything other than fabric.

I have MANY MANY pairs of scissors, and almost ALL of them
are Fiskars.

For ME (personal preference) I love the "Easy Action" spring
Shears and Pinking Shears, much easier on hands in my opinion
although I know there are many who prefer other (big name)
brands.

My main scissors are Kai, and I love them. I also have lots of other specialty shears (like for rag quilts) and less expensive ones around, and most do a decent job.

I have Ginghers made in Italy and they are fine, but I LOVE my Kai scissors a ton more.
