Ok i know this is going to be like everyone else's intro but here we go.
My dd(8) and I are very early beginners, I joined this board to hopefully help us along the way. I'm sure we'll need it. I decided to take up quilting because I needed something "easy" to do that will make me feel productive. I am a 38yo mother OF DS(19) DS (18) DD (9) AND my baby DD (5). I'm disabled and because of this I can't stand still for more than a few mins or walk without severe pain. I'm hoping I can do this. My hands are the only joints the arthritis hasn't destroyed so keep your fingers crossed. I hope to talk to you all alot more later. And if you ever get a question from me that is completely misspelled with no/incorrect punctuation, that would be my DD (Skyla, 9).

Welcome. We are full of inspiration and help here on this board. So glad you have the aid of you DD. It is always nice to see a newer generation getting involved in quilting. Start small to get instant gratification. Maybe a table topper or wall hanging and work your way up. This is such a rewarding hobby
