flexible curve
I was wondering if anyone has ever used a flexible curve ruler? I guess it's a ruler. It is blue and is used to aid in drawing curves. I was wondering if this thing is really very flexible as I would like to use it when I need to make a seam allow.on clothes smaller than the standard 5/8" seam like around the sleeve armhole. Can anyone out there shed some light on my inquiry and if you've had experience with this flex.curve....if so how did you use it?

I just recently bought one so I can't help w/your question but will be interested to hear what others say. I will probably use mine for clothing sewing than quilting. I will get it out of the pack and see how flexible it is though.

i've had one for many years. read about it in a magazine, i think, it's been such a long time ago. found one in local engineering supply store where i bought my drawing supplies & chalk pencils i liked for marking quilts. it is a great tool. it's very flexible but holds its shape ..i use it for marking curves for quilting lines, or applique stems etc. because it holds shape well you can achieve perfecr mirror or repeating shape. my first one got brittle over the years and now have a secomd one.

I happened to acquire one in a bag of sewing supplies picked up from a local freecycler. Great for garment sewing. Didn't think about the quilting line application until roguequilter just mentioned that - thank you!
Haven't used it yet but glad I have it.

Had one in college and they work great for curves. As long as you are making with it, it should mark any curve from point to point. After a lot of use, it had a tendency to get "bumps" in the curve but, then I didn't exactly treat it right.
