    Default Catalogging quilt book collection

I would like to find an app that would use my IPhone and IPad to catalog my quilt book collection (hoard lol). I would hope for something that I could use the camera to scan the ISBN and it would then find the book to add to the list. In a perfect world it would let me add information like where I have the book stored. I don’t have the time to type in all the titles in a spread sheet but using my phone would make the project do-able. Do any of you wonderful smart people use a program like this? Any and all ideas are appreciated.

Oooh, what a great idea! I hope someone knows how to do this. I found this online but have no idea whether it's a good option. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...phere.bookfree

That one says you can add "personal ratings and notes" so maybe that would work for you, Barb.

did you notice that this app says it contains ads? and, in my estimation, the rating is not that good
    but a very interesting idea.

LibraryThing.com is a great website for cataloging your books. They also have an app that shares the data. It’s free for a small library of books. Once you outgrow the initial allotment, there is a minimal fee.

Your suggestions were very helpful. They sent me to some additional apps as well. I think I found one that will work the way I want. It’s called Book Buddy Pro. It’s in the App Store. For books only it’s $4.99 which is not to bad. You can upgrade it to include music or music and movies. I will try to post again after I have installed it and tried it.

You could use Evernote. I use it for my card making supplies and the thread I have for quilting. You get photos off the internet to insert so you can see that too.

I have my books (over 200) on an Excel spreadsheet. Sounds like some of you are like me. Keep buying a second copy of something I already have!
