Default Diary of a Mad Quilter

I quilt to relieve the stress of my job (biotechnology manufacturing compliance consultant) and because I love to make beautiful things. I am always trying new fabric techniques (dyeing, painting, sun-prints, etc.) I started out doing art quilts, but decided one day to do more traditional block-style quilts, and got hooked. I have made 5 quilts in the last year, including two baby quilts, two twin size, and a queen size; two table runners, a wheelchair quilt and three wall hangings.

I am trying to put more pictures up, but for some reason they are not uploading. Above: (first three) Blue Jamaica quilt, pattern by Trish Stuart (I love her patterns); baby sleeping bag, pattern from Craftsy. I used blanket stitch in a yellow thread to finish the binding.

Thank you very much. My long-term goal is to get good enough to do a show quilt. Emphasis on "long-term"

I just love the batik background in your first quilt, your colors are great. Thanks for sharing!
