Default "Grandma, you know I'm a gray kind of person"

Youngest DGS and I were talking and the subject of his sister's quilt for college came up. DGD's quilt is bright Kaffe Fassett fabric, Simply Woven pattern. I told him he get a quilt for college too. His reply, "Grandma, you know I'm a gray kind of person". Had no idea what I was going to do. I was telling my favorite clerk in one of our LQS's about not knowing what to do for a gray quilt. She showed me the skyline material and I got some. Put it on my design wall, kept looking at it till I figured out what to do. Had to have some color so I made the window frame blue. He loves it!

Wow! It is so architectural! It may influence his choice of major! Very masculine looking. I'm sure he's going to treasure it for a long time. Excellent job!!

I see the inside of a warehouse apartment in NYC, looking out at the skyline. Great choice of design and treatment of the skyline fabric.
