I want to make a quilt backed with a soft fabric like minky but I saw the washing instructions for cuddle and that is harder than I want. I want a fabric that can be thrown in the washer and dryer but is child proof. Does anyone know of another brand that is sturdier and still as soft?

I like using "fireside" for quilt backings. It's a wonderfully soft fabric...on the order of pinky but not as thick. It washes beautifully and is 60" wide.
