My DH and I are going to be going to the winter Olympics and staying with my sister in law and her husband. This afghan is one of the many thank you gifts we will be planning for them. This was knitted with three strands of yarn, two of which were mohair.The result was a very soft but substantial lap rug. A little big for a lap rug but too small for a twin bed.

Since we will be in the city of Vancouver, we are going to be staying there and not going to any events that involve mountains, etc. So our tickets are for hockey and curling thus far. We may be able to pick up last minute tickets but just being in the hub bub and hoopla will be an experience in itself. The in laws live in a location where walking or public transit will get us to a lot of venues. Plus seeing Vancouver again is a delight in itself. My friend from first grade lives there too and I will be seeing her!
