My sister started me on the Elm Creek books several years ago. I just love them. "The Master Quilter" is about a bridal sampler. There is a companion book to the novel which gives patterns for all the blocks (140 patterns). This is one of them. My quilt guild is having a star or comet challenge right now and I found the "Shooting Star" pattern in the Elm Creek book. I thought it needed some company and decided I would use the background (blue star) fabric and make attic windows. This is my first attempt at attic windows and I love it.

I work in an office that has no windows. It does now!!!

I love the Hickory Stick. The owner and most of the employees are in the quilt guild that I just joined.
