Has anyone here seen the fabric yardage at IKEA? They have precut, packaged, 100% cotton 47" x 118" in several kiddie patterns for 7.99. Since I'm doing charity quilts, 1 piece will do either 2 quilts or a front and back. I think it would be good to add borders. I also found single flat sheets, twin size for only $4.99 and I'm seriously thinking of using some for backings. IKEA quality is quite nice. I didn't buy any today, but I will definitely go back. Here's a few links so you can take a look.
In case you think I actually neglected to buy something, let me assure I did not neglect that responsibility! I bought a little piece of table top for .99 to put under my cutting mat since it's on a sort of wobbly table. IKEA has an "as-is" room and they have table top pieces!
I also went to Ben Franklin (Kannapolis, NC), where they had the 3.99 flat folds on sale for $2.47/yd. and all the Moda fabrics for $5.87. How bad was I? Not that bad... only spent $50

environment
Cotton grown in a more sustainable way with considerably reduced usage of water, fertilizers and pesticides compared to conventional cotton.
Renewable material (cotton).
No optical brightener.
Fabric construction using 15% less cotton compared to conventional cotton products while keeping the same quality.
Let me know what you think?

Never thought to look at Ikea. I love that store ever since I was in Germany and now I am so glad there is one a couple hours away. Makes for a great day trip. I also try and go to Mary Jo's which is not that far away for Ikea so I can do both in one day. Thanks for the tip.
