Has anyone used this method to make a "piano board" border? Sewing 3 inch pieces together and then applying to the grid. This would involve many seams vertically. I am wondering if the fabric seams would stick to the grid long enough to sew the border on.

I've used the grid, but I ironed my fabric to the grid then sew it with the grid on it. I used this to do a watercolor.

HI, I am just trying to figure out how to sew all those 2" squares together for my watercolor quilt. It is about 48 x 48. I have read some pros and cons about the fusable grids. Please let me know how yours worked out.
Thank you.

Just make sure to use a press cloth, otherwise they are great.
