It's 'clues' which are technically steps to complete the quilt. To 'solve the mystery' you have to put all the pieces together! :) This is definitely a beginner friendly quilt.

I don't know if I can handle not knowing what it will make. :) like Christmas morning I just can't wait! Sounds like fun though. How long do you think it will take to finish and make? I'm moving the beginning of Feb. Do you think we will be finished by then? Either way I think I want to play :)
