I just had to share, especially with my MA and NH quilting friends. I was in the area of the Super Walmart in Amherst NH yesterday, I don't get in there much because it is pretty far and the last time I went had to be before I became interested in quilting. Sew I went in and OMG! The fabric dept there is HUGE!! Much bigger than either of the 2 Joann's I go to. Unfortunately I was pressed for time so I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked but I'll definitely be going again...SOON!

The WM closest to me has fabric but they are closing down the fabric department when they remodel in June. I have two other WMs that are not too terribly far from me and they both have fabric and it is staying. I have been impressed with the nice stuff they have lately.

I'm an hour from there. I think a road trip is in order. Thanks for the info.

Our Wal-Mart has removed the fabric department.
It was never very big to begin with though.
Never did buy fabric from Wal-mart anyway.

Yay..What a nice find for you.. Now you can tell all friends and family to give you Walmart gift cards for the holidays & special occasions.. They think your being practical but we know its gonna be spent on FABRIC!!!

wow, lucky you! we lost our fabric department over a year ago...and it sucks! i actually liked some of the walmart fabric selection much better than joannes...
take advantage before they decide to put fake flowers in in place of fabrics.
