In March I will again be hosting a Quilting/Crafting weekend for my sisters, daughters, nieces, etc. It's always fun when we have a Make &Take project but I'm hurting for an idea this spring. In the past we've done needle-felted ornaments, 4-overlapping triangles stitched and flipped coasters, stamped candles (my sister's idea). Not everyone is a sewer; some only scrapbook. But, because I'm a quilter and it's my party, I like to promote something fabric or fiber related. (They loved the coasters last year and even the non-sewers thought it was fun to sew their 4 seams!) Does anyone have any ideas? The goal is for it to be simple, quick and useful. Thanks!

You could do the ten min blocks and make a table place mat with them.

You could do fabric stamping. Just make sure you heat set the stamped fabric. This way the scrap bookers could use some of their stamps. Then make mug rugs, or get some inexpensve blank books and make covers for them.

How about the little origami bags to be used as tiny totes for jewelry when traveling? Only require straight sewing.
