What made you cut your rectangles to that size to begin with? Will this method work with other sizes?

What is the final width of the border after trimming?

Thanks for a great tut with clear pictures.

Thanks-I guess I should have included the width- it's about 5 1/2". The rectangles are the size they are because it's a pattern I got out of an old Georgia Bonesteel book. I'm sure it would work with other sizes, I've just never tried it.
