this is for February 2011.

This year for NC must be a record!

3 times it has snowed since Christmas. So does mom nature have a problem?? I know it wasn't as much as y'all in the northern states and midwest. but here it is. didn't last long either.

We woke up yesterday with another 2-3 inches or so. I know it's not much, especially after being raised in the midwest with big snows each year, but for the Virginia Beach area, this has been a lot for the year too - and it closes everything down for a day.....schools were closed yesterday, military bases were on a 2 hour delay, etc.... seems silly but not for this area where they are not prepared or have the resources to deal with it properly as they do in the north/midwest states.

We are forecast for warmer temps this weekend. Maybe if it melts enough I can get my light-up Christmas deer down. Right now they are up to their antlers in snow. (They hibernate in the shed all summer:)

I've got some piled in my driveway you can have. I'd be glad to share.

I will share some too. The snow is piled so high at the end of my driveway that I can't see to back out. The pile is higher than my car.
