My dear aunt likes her tea, for her BD I made her these 2 mats and will include some special white tea as well.
I modified this pattern from the Fraser Valley Quilt Guild's web site. Instead of piecing the handle I stitched one. I also made the mat rectangular (8 x6) rather than the 6 " finished block.

What a thoughtful BD gift! I'm sure your aunt will love them. Thanks for including the link for the pattern. I love tea cups and have quite a few. I also have friends who enjoy them. These mats will make adorable gifts!

Or maybe a larger mat with a teapot for the center of her round table. Thanks for the idea
