Has anyone ever made these? So far I've finished these two and have about 8 more to go! There's a lot of pins in each one, it's hard on the fingers after a while!

I have never made any of those ornaments, but those are just awesome. You did a fantastic job.

I have two or three on my tree this year - have the same ones for about 18 years now - I love them - wish I had the pattern still - I would make more!!

Very pretty. A LQS near here offered a class and I have the booklet but haven't tried it yet. You did a great job.

I've done several over the years. I use liquid bandaid on my finger tips. Or do you have any of the sticky type "thimble pads"? I have 35 nieces and nephews and one year my sis and I made each one their own!!!

Here's a link to the basic instructions. http://www.make-stuff.com/projects/quiltball.html

I used a strip of fabric to cover the edges instead of ribbon. I added the ribbons on top (those came from the dollar store) and I used a large pearl head pin (like a corsage pin) pushed into the center of the ribbons to hold the hanger. It gives it a nice finish at the top.

Yep, after my fingers were full of holes I got smart and used those sticky thimble pads, they really made a difference.
