I am learning a lot. I now have a design that I think I am going to work with going with the strips I already have sewn together. I just have to take a day and cut my strips to form the loops. Here is the new diagram that I think I am going to go with.

Think that will work.
How narrow are you smallest cuts going to be? What will be the finished size?

Barb, I think the most narrow strips on the left will be .5 inches. I think I will also do the blue dividing strips at .5 inches. Or do you think the smallest should be 1 inch?

Hi all,
I've finally gotten to a point where I can begin your Bargello tutorial. Even have the fabrics picked out. Can you tell me where to find all the steps?

I don't sew anything less than 1", but that would be up to you. If you are sewing many very small strips together, they will want to curl. So, you might need to press the seams and straighten them out before sewing too many little ones together.

Go to the Home Page and at the bottom of the page you will find link for "All User Defined Sections" Click on that and you will find all the sections in the Virtual Section.
Bargello Quilts is now at the top of the list. You will want to click on Subscribe, and that will put the Bargello Quilts section on the front page so it will be easy to find next time.
Click on Bargello Quilts to find the tutorials. There are a lot of messages in this section. The ones for my tutorial are:

#1 bargello tute, started by Kyiav10. That is where we discussed me doing the tutorial, photos of some of the quilts I have done, fabric choices and arrangement. width of strips and how many needed to make the quilt, sewing the strips together into panels and ironing the panels . Then it goes on...rest of the tutorials will be posted by me.

Count me in, too. Will you be telling us how to choose our colors also? I am anxious.

This is the hard part for me - putting colors together. This is what I came up with. Have no idea what I am doing and what this will look like.
