Rhonda's Sampler Quiltalong - week 4
#1
Here we are ready for another week of quilt blocks! This week we have 2 HST(half square triangle) Quilt Blocks and another Star Point Quilt Block
The directions for Rhonda's "Blocks" are now in one place in the Virtual Section. I will be adding the rest of my "Block" methods over the next few days.

You can also see all of the threads for the Sampler quilt in this Virtual Section

Keep in mind you can find the threads for adding pictures for each week in this Virtual Section also.
The HST quilt blocks will use the HSTs and the Star Point Quilt Block will use the Star Point Blocks.
Keep in mind when you choose fabrics that if you don't keep the same balance of colors (not the same colors but the same contrast) then your block will take on a differant look. If I used a medium then you should choose a medium also. And so on.
Lay out the fabrics you want to use and stand back to see if you can still see each individual fabric or if they blend too much. If they blend then try to find something that will be in contrast allowing each fabric to be seen as an individual.
I hope you all have a good time working on these quilt blocks!!
If you have any questions feel free to pm me or email me at [email protected]. I will be happy to help!

As usual Rhonda great work. I'm so thrilled to get my templates. I still haven't gotten around to doing anything yet. I've got fabric picked out but I have a very dull rotary cutter. Trying to talk partner into getting me new blades. He said maybe Thursday. WHAT??? I want to go to Harbor Freight. They will be out of them by then and I will have to pay a fortune for them. I'd use the one I have (nearly a year old now, yikes!) but I can't cut standing up to apply the pressure necessary to get it thru the fabric. Waiting with baited breath. Hopefully soon!! I'm anxious to try it and post some pictures. Time, it's such a fickle thing. Never enough of it. Hurry up and wait!?! Must I? LOL, trying to have a sense of humor about it.
