    I see so many questions from newbies asking how to have a perfect point on their stars.....here's what I do. I hope it helps you all! BTW - sorry about the 1st picture -- I had the camera setting wrong....and thought it would be okay. :mrgreen:

    Sorry - had the wrong setting. This shows the front of my "star"...Make sure you have 1/4" from the tip of the star to the edge.
    [ATTACH=CONFIG]144218[/ATTACH]

    This intersection is the point of your star. Make sure it's 1/4" from the raw edge.

    This is how it will look on the right side.

    Sew across your seam....Do not sew on either side of that point. This is the critical piece of making a perfect point

    I like your tutorial! To add to that, if I may, another trick is to stay just a thread width away form that point. Really helps make that corner crisp.

    Thank you for showing how to make a good point. I tried making a pinwheel and the point was, well, you know, a great big mess.
