What a great tutorial. I made one about 30 years ago using templates...it was before I had a rotary cutter even. Now I can't wait to make another one. I've bookmarked this and can't wait to check out your blog. Thanks for sharing.

That is terrific Roolen, I was at a "Quilt Show" on saturday & I watched a demonstration doing the "Hunters Star" & you couldn't have done it any better. I baught a special ruler there. I think I wasted my money. According to your tut I don't really need it. But that's not the first time I wasted my money.

Dear Roolen,
Your quilt is stunning so simple dare I say elegant.
Your photographs and instructions are very clear, love this block, I especially like quilts that do not use lots of colors as the block design can be "lost" in the overall quilt, with just two or three colors you can really go overboard and have a stunning quilt, I have bookmarked this method, thankyou.
Seeing as the strips are 1 1/2 inches wide, ideal for any spare "Honey Buns".
What is the finished size of each block please?
