Janice, your Baltimore Oriole is beautiful. We have yellow finch that come to our window and I am always wanting to capture them in drawing/quilting. Thanks for the nudge to get her done!

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind, but now I see.

That is beautiful - I may have to try the technique when I get a few more projects finished. Thanks.

I appreciate all the comments and hope this tutorial has helped. I started this quilt about this time last year, and didn't work on it all summer or fall. I have picked it up again and have 10 more to do. You can check out where I started my post called "The Beginnings of a Crayola Quilt" it was my first 3 blocks completed. I will have 20 when completed. Thanks again for your encouragement.

You will love it! I'm still doing the embroidery work and not much of that during the summer. Hope to finish this next winter. Good luck and I hope you will post your pics.
