Great idea! I love my magnetic pin holder, but can't find another for the cutting table. Guess I know what I'm doing this afternoon.

I was just thinking I need another one yesterday, I always tote mine room to room, and I love this idea! I can make a pretty one, instead of the utilitarian plastic looking ones I have. :thumbup:

Loved your tute, when I was a little girl my mom belonged to our schools PTA and they use to make pincushions using empty tuna cans, covered with cloth and they used foam for the cushion part, I remember her sitting and making these at the dinning room table to take to the sales. They put all kinds of decorations on them. This brought back memories.

You could also just use a cover, right? Cutting/covering cardboard/plastic for a base? Flat, slim. easy to carry...hmmmmm? Can it be done?
