This is how you can quilt as you go you want to quilts your blocks one at a time but leave a 1/4 all around your block for to sew on the other blocks now here two pictures showing my block i am going to join the 3rd is showing to trim all the edges around your block the 4th show that you take the backing and batting pin back so you can sew the front together 5th show how to pin the front together face to face the 6th show to put on machine sew 1/4 in all the way down now if you are hand piecing you will mark or have mark a line all the way to sew by hand leaving a 1/4 at each end the 7th show i lay my quilt down and cut the batting out on one side then the 8th show i lay the other side of batting down and some times you may have to trim it to lay flat the 9th show i lay the other side of the backing down the 10th show you i fold the other 1/8 in side of the backing down and pin 11th picture show that i took a needle and thread to sew i do it the applique way 12th one show the finish back the last picture show you the finish on both side of the front you also can do your broader the same way but always remember to leave a i/4 inches around your piece so you will have enough to sew on the other blocks

I've always wondered how this was done. I learn better from seeing pictures. Thank you so much.
